These Terms of Use apply to queer-ink.com, run by Queer Ink Ventures, Mumbai, India (“Queer Ink”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About this website

queer-ink.com is an informational website about our publishing, archiving, digital library and knowledge exchange work. It does not sell products or services online. Information on the website is provided for general reference; see our Disclaimer.

2. Our content and how you may use it

The text, images, design, logo and other content on this website belong to Queer Ink Ventures or to the writers, photographers, contributors and archives who have allowed us to use them. They are protected by copyright and other laws.

You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, educational or research use, provided you keep any copyright notices and credit Queer Ink. You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link to the page. For anything else, including republishing, commercial use, or reproducing images or archival material, please ask us first at info@queer-ink.com.

Some archival material may be subject to the rights or wishes of the people who created or donated it. Permission to use it may need to come from them as well as from us.

3. Things you agree not to do

• Use the website in a way that breaks any law or harms others.
• Post comments that are abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that reveal someone else’s sexual orientation, gender identity or private information without their consent.
• Try to gain unauthorised access to the website or interfere with how it works.
• Copy content in bulk, including by scraping or automated tools, or use it to train artificial intelligence systems, without our written permission.

We may remove comments or block access to anyone who breaks these terms.

4. What you send us

When you post a comment, you allow us to display it on the website. When you send us a story, manuscript or archival material, we will only publish or archive it under a separate agreement with you. You keep ownership of your work unless that agreement says otherwise.

5. Other websites and embedded content

The website links to and embeds content from other services, such as Google Sheets, WhatsApp and Telegram. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.

6. No warranties

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be complete, current, uninterrupted or free of errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Queer Ink Ventures is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, those rights are not affected.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the website means you accept it.
