Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how queer-ink.com, run by Queer Ink Ventures, uses cookies and similar technologies. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They help the site work, remember your choices and tell the owner how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep the website secure and working, and remember your cookie choices. They do not track you and cannot be switched off. Examples: a cookie that stores your consent choice, and WordPress cookies used only by people who log in to manage the site.

Analytics cookies

We use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are useful. These cookies collect information such as pages viewed, time on the site, approximate location and device type. For example, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. Wherever you are, we only load Google Analytics and set these cookies after you agree, through the cookie banner.

Third-party cookies from embedded content

Our Digital Library page displays a Google Sheets document. When it loads, Google may set its own cookies or read cookies already on your device, especially if you are signed in to a Google account. We do not control these cookies; see how Google uses cookies.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

3. Managing your choices

  • Our cookie banner: when you first visit, you can accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the website.
  • Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of some websites from working.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

4. Changes to this policy

If we add or change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
