About the Author
Munshi Premchand was an Indian writer best-known for his modern Hindustani literature. Considered one of the greatest fiction writers in Hindi, Premchand has penned down over three hundred short stories, several novels and two plays. He is one of the most renowned and celebrated authors of the Indian subcontinent and is considered the foremost Hindustani writers of the 20th century. He initially used the pen name, Nawab Rai, but later changed it to Premchand. Some of his popular works include Devasthan Rahasya, Roothi Rani, Vardaan, Premashram, Pratigya, Karmabhoomi, and Duniya ka Sabse Anmol Ratan.
