A popular face in Indian queer community, Nakshatra Bagwe, 24 years old, was born and brought up in Mumbai. Nakshatra came out to his family at a young age of 17 years, four years before coming out openly in society at 21 via a leading national daily newspaper. Nakshatra studied post-graduate in advertising and produced his first amateur short film Logging Out which won him audience choice award at KASHISH International Queer Film Festival in 2012. In 2015 Nakshatra, marks his international and Indian debut in feature films with Afdhere Jama’s offer to play a lead role in his international project Hearts. He also grabbed the lead role of an upcoming film My Son is Gay slated for the silver screen. Along with film career, Naksh also dabbles in activism by organising Prides Walks in Gujarat.
