Activism through Art is what defines these two creative men - Jehangir Jani, a renowned painter and sculptor who has questioned masculinity and gender constructs through his works and Sunil Gupta, a photographer known across the world, who places his own self as a gay man and an out HIV positive person in his works, to raise a dialogue about set perceptions and notions. Both are not only open about their sexuality, but never shy away from talking about sexual pleasure.

Sridhar Rangayan is a Bombay-based writer/director whose films present hard-hitting social issues and critique with warmth, compassion, and humor. His award-winning films The Pink Mirror, Yours Emotionally, and 68 Pages are at the forefront of India’s emergent queer cinema movement. He is also one of the Founder Trustees of The Humsafar Trust and serves on the board since 1994 as well as has been involved with Bombay Dost, since its inception. He has been one of the vocal out gay persons and has contributed to the Indian LGBT movement through this films, visual artworks, writings and talks. He has conceived and directed Project Bolo – the definitive Indian LGBT oral history project.

Producer: The Humsafar Trust works with sexual minorities providing counseling, HIV testing and treatment facilities. Its center for Excellence (CEFE) emphasizes on research, capacity building of communities and media advocacy. The Advocacy unit of Humsafar works on creating awareness and sensitization on issues of sexuality and HIV/AIDS through street plays, IEC materials and films.

Associate Producer: Solaris Pictures is the only Indian film production company that has consistently been making award-winning films on LGBT themes. Its award-winning films like Gulabi Aaina, Yours Emotionally′and 68 Pages, all dealing with gay and transgender stories, has pushed the boundaries in queer portrayals in Indian films.
